Although AI has high adoption and integration rates, new research from marketing agency Realm B2B revealed that only a minority of marketing teams are actively utilizing AI to enhance their functions. These findings were uncovered in “AI In B2B Marketing: Lessons From The Frontline,” a research report designed to provide in-depth look into how AI is reshaping the B2B marketing landscape.

Following the theme of lopsided acknowledgement and adoption rates, seven out of 10 survey respondents acknowledged AI’s relevance in their organizations while also rating their AI maturity level a three out of 10 — another considerable gap between the recognized opportunity and comprehension of AI’s potential utility in everyday tasks.

Beyond adoption and utilization disconnects, the report also revealed several statistics that provided a generalized overview of marketers’ AI sentiments such as:

  • 66% of marketers are experiencing FOMO and are concerned that other companies may be further ahead in leveraging AI;
  • 56% of departments reported that colleagues are driven by an innate curiosity about AI;
  • 100% of B2B marketers know about ChatGPT and 83% of marketers are utilizing it, with image creation solutions and writing companions ranking as the most popular uses; and
  • 83% of marketers are not effectively measuring the efficiency or increased productivity that their AI tools are providing.

Salesforce announced the beta availability of Einstein Copilot for Tableau, a new capability designed to provide users with self-service analytics, streamline analyst workflows and unlock strategic data insights for users within the entire organization.

Einstein Copilot for Tableau seeks to enable practitioners to dive deep into their data and utilize Tableau’s analytical engine through natural language processing to query and derive insights from data sources like spreadsheets, cloud and on-premises data warehouses and Salesforce Data Cloud. According to Salesforce, the new solution makes data analysis accessible to every business user and even suggests questions to users based on business data and metadata analysis.

Einstein Copilot for Tableau also leverages the Einstein Trust Layer, which reportedly gives business and data teams robust tools to help protect data and limit exposure to third-party models. Specific features include:

  • An automated data analysis to recommend relevant questions and guide the user to potential areas of insight;
  • Conversational data exploration, which allows users to search for an insight without losing the context of their previous question; and
  • Guided calculation creation to help users parse through information from a longer string field.

Drift, the Conversation Cloud company, announced a GPT integration using OpenAI’s API, available exclusively to select Drift customers. The initial integration will provide AI-suggested replies in live chat, helping sales reps immediately respond to complex customer questions without leaving the conversation.

The AI will suggest a reply for the sales rep to use based on their company’s website content and marketing materials, the context of that specific conversation and GPT. Sales will have the option to customize the suggested reply before sending or dismiss it and generate a new suggested reply. Additional features that will be available within the Drift GPT integration later this year include:

  • Automated content creation and ongoing optimization of playbooks;
  • Automated onboarding and AI topic training; and
  • The ability to personalize sales outreach and prioritize target accounts.

G2, a business software and serviews reviews platform, expanded its ABM integration stack through partnerships with 6sense, Demandbase, RollWorks and Triblio. The company aims to enable the partners’ shared userbases to adapt to trends in B2B software purchasing and accurately market to accounts actively showing intent.

To help the 67% of B2B software vendors who engage target accounts at the wrong time, these new integrations will allow the four partner companies to assimilate G2’s buyer intent data directly into their ABM platforms. The userbases can use the intent data to identify where accounts are in their journeys, find key accounts in their target account lists (TALs) that are displaying intent and engage active accounts accordingly.

By building bridges between multiple ABM platforms, G2 hopes that marketers can enhance their ABM programs with more efficient workflows and better target and engage their key accounts.
